About Us

Peter Lewis

BSc MSc MRICS MCMI

Based in the Richmond office, Peter is a Chartered Building Surveyor with a wealth of experience. 

In addition to his Surveying skills Peter brings his strategic management skills to the practice.

Peter enjoys the delights of surveying properties throughout the Yorkshire dales, South Durham and Teesside with the occasional trip further afield to Cumbria and Northumberland to support colleagues’ projects.

Claire Turner

BSc (Hons) MRICS

Claire is a Chartered Building Surveyor who leads our Hexham and Penrith offices. She has over 15 years post qualification experience with her passion being project and conservation work.

Claire deals with a variety of clients from domestic to commercial and enjoys working in the beautiful Cumbrian and Northumberland surroundings.

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her partner and young family.

Emma Gregson

BSc(Hons) MAPPP LRTPI

Emma has over a decade of experience across public, private and consultancy sectors with a strong understanding of Local Authority and Development Management procedures developed during her time her time as a Senior Planning Officer for Sevenoaks District Council. Emma continues to provide consultancy services to Local Authorities either on an individual project basis or to assist with their Development Management function in determining planning applications and representing Councils at appeal.

Emma has also worked for a commercial house builder and renewable energies company leading their planning function, alongside her client led consultancy work.

Emma has an amenable yet forensic manner, which enables her to adeptly manage the competing challenges the planning system poses to any project.

Jennifer Lewis

BSc (Hons), BA(Hons)

Jenny studied Interior Design at Leeds Metropolitan University and later went on to achieve a 1st class honours degree in Building Surveying at Northumbria University. 

Based in the North Yorkshire Office, she brings both design and technical skills to the company. Primarily focusing on architectural design, she uses AutoCAD software to produce technical drawings.

Jenny is a talented artist and has developed this hobby into another aspect the business can utilise. Creating Artist impressions for Estate agents, property developers and the National Trust.

Robert Lewis

BSc.(Hons)

Robert joined the Lewis Surveying Associates in 2011, whilst studying for his degree in Building Surveying at Northumbria University.

A member of the RICS, his aim is to become RICS Chartered and in the future accredited in conservation.

He brings to LSA his computer aided design skills, particularly 3D modelling and visual representations. Robert has experience in both the commercial and private sector with modern and traditional property.

Robert’s accomplishments to date involve the restoration of St Robert of Newminster Church in Morpeth following fire damage. He demonstrated his CAD design skills restoring the stonework of the spire. Robert has been involved in helping clients restore their properties after flood and fire damage, including two farm houses on the Dunham Massey estate for the National Trust.

Passionate about exercise, you can find Robert in the gym or sailing at Ullswater in his spare time.

Josie Mason

BA(Hons) MA IHBC

Josie has recently graduated with a distinction in 'Conservation of Historic Buildings' MA from the University of York. In addition, she is a fully accredited member of IHBC. She is trained in producing technical architectural CAD drawings for the purpose of measured surveys and topographical surveys.

Working with clients she has been involved in delivering projects from the initial brief stage right through to completion. 

In her spare time, she is an enthusiastic hockey and tennis player, enjoying being part of a team.

Jackie Lewis

Jackie is the Office Manager for the Hexham and Penrith Offices. She is also the company secretary and ensures the smooth running of the practice.
